Traveling to UC Davis
For driving directions, enter “Gateway Structure, Davis, CA” into your map app for directions to the closest parking structure for all events. For shuttles or taxis, direct them to the Mondavi Center or the Conference Center at UC Davis.
By Plane
The Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is about 20 minutes away from UC Davis.

Directions from the airport, if driving:
- Take I-5 North towards Redding
- Once you reach Woodland, take Exit 537 onto Main Street
- Turn left onto Main Street
- Turn left to merge onto CA-113 towards Davis
- Once in Davis, take I-80 East toward Sacramento (Exit 26B)
- Exit UC Davis (Exit 71)
- Turn left onto Old Davis Road and drive past the information kiosk
- At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Old Davis Road
- Turn right onto HIlgard Lane and the Gateway Parking structure will be on your left
By Train
The Davis Amtrak station is 1 mile from the Mondavi center and a 20 minute walk through downtown Davis and the UC Davis Arboretum. Enter “UC Davis Good Life Garden, 392 Old Davis Rd, Davis, CA 95616” into your map app for walking directions to the Monday night reception.

From Sacramento/Southern California:
- From I-80 west
- Exit UC Davis (Exit 71)
- Turn right onto Old Davis Road and drive past the information kiosk
- At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Old Davis Road
- Turn right onto Hilgard Lane
- Turn left into the Gateway Parking Structure and continue on foot to the Welcome Center area
From San Francisco/Berkeley/Santa Cruz
- From I-80 east
- Exit UC Davis (Exit 71)
- Turn left onto Old Davis Road and drive past the information kiosk
- At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Old Davis Road
- Turn right onto Hilgard Lane
- Turn left into Gateway Parking Structure and continue on foot to the Welcome Center area
Parking
All staff long term parking permits from all UCs will be honored in our “C” and “A” permit spaces (as long as the permit is visible).
Daily Visitor Permits are available for $9 and may be purchased from permit dispensing machines located at the entrance to the Gateway Parking Structure. Permit dispensers accept Visa and Mastercard only (they do not accept cash).
Visitor permits are valid for the date purchased and are honored Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Permits should be displayed on the driver's side dashboard of the vehicle.
If you are staying at a hotel in downtown Davis, most hotels are a 15-20 minute walk to the Mondavi Center.
On-Campus Lodging Parking
Parking is not included with the dorm housing. Attendees who need parking permits can get visitor passes for each day. Visitor parking is available to all faculty, staff, students, and the public. It is valid in visitor parking lots on the date of purchase. After 5 p.m., Visitor Permits are also valid in any non-restricted parking space and at parking meters.
Overnight parking is available in any parking lot. TAPS parking enforcement hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.
