My background - I grew up on the Mainframe as a Systems Programmer for 14 years for Burger King Corp. I recovered BK's mainframe after Hurricane Andrew. I merged 5 data centers into 2 (BK and Pillsbury). While at BK, I installed almost every piece of hardware and software there is. Over the next 16 years, working at a privately owned company and at a Worker's Compensation information company, I was the Data Center Manager and Infrastructure Architect, running projects that designed and transitioned to a 19,000 sq. ft state of the art Data Center, implement enterprise solutions for Backups, Change Management, Job Scheduling, Asset Management for z/OS, z/VM, SuSE Linux, AIX, Solaris and Windows. My responsibilities also included managing budgets for all hardware, software and services for the entire corporation, Capacity Planning, Disaster Recovery, Production Control, and 24x7 Operations. Before coming to Berkeley I was at the Department of Defense Manpower Data Center in Seaside, CA managing the migration of 4 DoD applications to DMDC, the Oracle DBAs, the Oracle WebLogic Admins, and Change Management.

I joined the UC family March, 2013, as the Manager of the Production Control Shared Service Center. PCSSC is responsible for Workload Automation and Managed File transfers across multi-campus IT organizations, supporting Business Units and Campus for UC San Francisco, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, UC Office of the President, and the UCPath initiative. In March 2018 I was given leadership of the EOS team, Endpoint Operations Services team.
