Trained in USAF in telecommunications and mainframes. Flew as a Computer/Display Maintenance Technician on the E-3 AWACS aircraft (3000 hrs of flight time). Worked for EDS and GTE (Verizon) in Dallas, TX. Consulted in the SF Bay Area several years before coming to UC Davis in 2006.
