David Rusting is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at University of California, Office of the President, where he develops and implements information security strategy and cyber-risk management. His experience covers multiple industry sectors, including, higher education, healthcare, financial, energy and related public sectors. He previously held the same role at UCSF. He leverages a unique blend of creativity, business acumen and technology expertise to promote a risk-based approach to information security, privacy, and compliance.
