Bio
Byron is the Chief Information Security Officer for University of California Santa Cruz. He has over 30 years experience in information technology with the last 20 years focused on network security. Byron spent much of his career in defense related industries securing both classified and unclassified networks at Raytheon and Applied Signal Technology. He has spent the last 5 years at UC Santa Cruz, deploying vulnerability management, log management, and distribution firewall services. He specializes in reverse engineering malware and network forensics.
