Brian is a member of the Research Technologies program of the Clinical & Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at UCSF. He is the product lead for UCSF Profiles, the UCSF Clinical Trials website, Application Review and Tracking (ART), UCSF Cores Search and some other products launched by CTSI. Brian joined UCSF and CTSI in January, 2011.
Brian has worked in software for over 20 years and been a product manager in medical software since 2003, including clinical support software, online personal health records, secure online doctor-patient communications and electronically delivered drug warnings. He has extensive experience bringing user-focused products to market.
In 1997, he earned his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley with a focus in Technology Management and Product Development. Prior to studying business, Brian worked in space systems acquisition at the rank of Captain at Los Angeles Air Force Base. His undergraduate degree is in mechanical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
