Bio
IT Lead - School of Education and Information and Educational - IT Technology Professional Services
Having worked in IT, providing: desktop support, desktop engineering and systems administration for several academic and administrative departments at UC Davis for over 23 years, I have seen my share of successful and unsuccessful IT infrastructure initiatives. In my current role, I have the pleasure of working with other IT staff from other academic/administrative units across campus to develop the Aggie Desktop service. A unique initiative to redesign how desktop computing devices (desktops, laptops and mobile devices) are delivered here at UC Davis. The goals are to: improve end-user desktop experience, eliminate duplicate infrastructure required to support desktop users, lowering the costs of delivering desktop computing, and deliver ready and reliable access to the computer-mediated tools and data that UC Davis affiliates need to get their work done.
